Sam & Troy of the Washington DC area won 2 of 3 games in the Preliminary Rounds. They then swept through the "Sweet 16 " Playoffs to win the 1st Place Prize in the Early Bird Special Tournament. Sam & Troy are former "National Champions, and Troy is the reining 2006 Player Of The Year. The Early Bird Special Tournament was part of the Bid Whist Across America Tour Los Angeles Bid Whist  Weekend held May 18-19, 2007.
